  • 16hh rising 6yr Gelding

    Steady all rounder

Joe just has that look, that draws you to him. He is so handsome and really does turn heads. Joe has a wonderful temperament and he just wants to please, he is easy to handle and just loves fuss and attention. Joe is a Steady Eddie type ride that you could hack along down the busy main road on the buckle or have a wonderful canter round the field. Although very safe and steady he is not a complete plod and is still of the leg making him an easy going enjoyable ride. Joe jumps both coloured and natural fences and has the potential to do any job from happy hacking, hunting, showing or riding club activities. Horses of his size and type do not come around very often and we are really excited to be able to own him and have the chance to watch him progress. £3500

    Great teenagers horse

Sharkey is a very handsome and well put together little horse. He is also very well bred with his lines going back to king of diamonds. Sharkey is extremely well mannered and is extremely easy to handle both in and out of the stable meaning you can leave your family to deal with him safely. Sharkey is a lovely easy going ride who holds him self in a wonderful rhythm giving his rider lots of confidence and a safe yet enjoyable ride. He has a super jump and will really excel in any discipline. He jumps both coloured and natural fences. Even though Sharkey is super talented he is also extremely quiet meaning you can easily hack along on the buckle down the main road. He is a rare find and his new owner will be extremely lucky. £3900

  • 17hh 6yr mare

    Weight carrying allrounder

This wonderful gentle lady is just a darling to have round the yard, she is so easy to do and has wonderful stable manners. Lady is quiet to ride and would make a super ladies hack or hunt horse. Both novice and more experienced riders could ride her safely and with confidence. Lady is a fantastic hack that you can ride along on the buckle if you wish. She hacks both in wide open spaces and on the busiest of roads. She jumps both coloured and natural fences, and doesn't look at anything. Lady will be whatever you want her to be, a lovely mare to have around We clipped her this week and she was a star, really easy to do. £3750

  • 15.1hh 7yr Gelding

    Family Allrounder

Rodney came to us through a part exchange from a much loved private home. He is extremely friendly and just loves fuss and attention. Rodney is a real people horse. In his old home he competed at Equifest in the ridden appaloosa class coming second. Rodney is a fantastic mover he just needs to learn to come a little rounder in his frame. We have hacked him both on the road and in wide open spaces where he has proven to be very safe and an enjoyable ride not being phased by the heavy traffic. Rodney jumps both coloured and natural fences giving him the potential to be a great allrounder. Rodney has a wonderful trainable attitude having the potential to excel in any discipline. £3000

    Family Horse

Dazzle is an excellent example of a true cob, she is a stocky girl with great amount of bone and feather. Dazzle would take all members of the family from the children to the dad's as our 5'10 riders do not look out of place on her. She has a lovely nature and very easy to do both in and out of the stable making her suitable for the first time or novice horse owner. Dazzle is an excellent hack who you can ride long on the buckle in wide open spaces and on the road in the heaviest of traffic. Nothing seems to phase her. Although Dazzle is a quiet to ride and a kick along she still goes when asked making her safe yet enjoyable, a great combination. She is believed to be the half sister of candy who we sold back in September and we have noticed some family traits such as the love of food!! Dazzle is a great cob and her new owners i'm sure will have years of fun together. £2500

    Ready to produce

Jack is a really handsome chap and a real head turner. He has recently been broken and is working well on the flat with a beautiful step. Jack is ready to produce now in any discipline and would excel in either the dressage or show ring as he as fantastic movement. He is working on the bridle in walk and trot and is now ready to start coming a little rounder in canter. Jack also jumps natural and coloured fences. He is good to hack both on the road in very heavy traffic and in wide open spaces. Jack is also a pleasure to handle and has wonderful stable manners. We recently clipped him and he didn't move a muscle. He is a real people horse and just loves fuss and attention. £3000

PURCHASED ON 15/02/13 15HH IRISH X Just thought we would let you know, Roller now named Rolo has settled in to his new home very well. He is everything advertised and more. Working very well on the flat and on the roads, giving my 16 year old the confidence she needs. Anyone who is considering on buying from Clover Barn we found that there was no pushy sale from the moment we tried Rolo to the moment we brought him. All the horses are accurately described and the trial facilities are more then adequate. We would recommend Clover Barn to anybody wanting to purchase a sound and trustworthy horse. Tina, Chenice and Rolo.
  • Barney
I bought Barney from Seamus and Lauren in Jan 2012 and he has been an absolute star. I had completely lost my confidence when I went to Seamus's yard. I was honest and advised what I was looking for to which I was matched to Barney. He was the only horse that Seamus thought suitable and he advised that Barney was safe, honest, forgiving and easy to do and said I could try him as many times as I wanted with no pressure to buy him if I wasn't sure. After trying a few other horses I went back to try Barney again and felt so confident on him that I bought him on 2nd viewing. Barney has proven himself to be as described and so much more....he hasn't put a foot wrong since I brought him home and I feel so lucky to have found him and to be having so much fun with him. He does well at dressage as is competing at Elementary level this season, jumps for fun, does well at showing and is a super safe hack..! He has given me the confidence to complete a sponsored ride last year and attempt some xc this year...which is something I thought I would never do..! I would definitely recommend Seamus and Lauren's services in finding you a lovely Irish horse as they have found me my horse of a lifetime and a true friend in Barney and for that I am eternally grateful.
  • Bluebell
Have just taken a horse from Clover Barn and am so happy with their honesty and assistance/understanding throughout. Unlike some they were really determined to find the right home for the horse and even dropped her off to my door! Would highly recommend.
  • dolly
I brought dolly from you back in August 2012 and just wanted to let you know how pleased we are that we brought from you. She is everything advertised and more. Having brought her as a 4 year old from you advertised that she was green on the flat she is now going beautifully in an outline and is off to her first event on 9th June 2013. After 10 years of my mum not riding after a bad fall she now rides dolly out hacking and has really gained her confidence. I would defiantly recommend your services to anyone with the high quality of horses and honestly when I came to find a horse suitable for me to event as well as be a good happy hack. Laura
  • Winnie (Sally)
Winnie is absolutely brilliant, thank you so much for her. She's really settled in well. She is perfect out hacking, and did well at cross country. Cheers!
  • Queen

  • Juniper (Bobby Joe)
Gorgeous evening today riding my beautiful Juniper on a lovely long hack with gorgeous Karen Hamer and her caring steed Murphy. Only our second time out since bringing Juniper home 3 weeks ago, I used all of the wonderful learnings from my foundation course with MySafeCobs and rode forward, rode straight and led from behind. Thank you Avril and thank you brilliant Seamus at Clover Barn for selling me my perfect wonder horse My life is complete!
  • Maggie May
Maggie May is a love! Everyone loves her she has just started work under saddle again - going well. She is looking really well, loving life! I have added a couple of pics taken in last 2 weeks. She has a lovely nature, my 6 year old son leads her in and out of the field - everyone who meets her falls in love
  • Freddie
Hi, Just a couple of photos of 'Freddie' in his new home for either your facebook or web page if you want. He settled in well and is the sweetest kindest little horse who takes a keen interest in everything we do, and has earned himself a bit of a reputation as the yard joker. He is keen to learn and please and coming along on the flat. We had a super show jumping lesson which we really enjoyed and didn't put a foot wrong. Looking forward to lots more fun together this summer and some good hunting this winter and many more to come. Thanks! Helen and Freddie!
  • Flower
This is Flower who is the prettiest mare (i'm bias) she has been a real little star and been good with everything, we go out on little hacks and she is so relaxed its just brilliant, and when she goes its 'flower power' hoping once we've got her schooling a little more that my son who is six will be able to enjoy her as well, she has lovely manners too. She's very happy and has settled in well.
  • Dusty
I didnt have alot of confidence, I was nervous all the time due to experiences with another horse but clover barn recommended dusty and she caught my eye from the start. She is amazing, within just 3 days my confidence has risen and I am not nervous at all now. Dusty has such a character, I call her and she comes running to me or if I want to walk around her field I just call her and she walks by my side or behind me. She is easy to handle and I think we are going to have a well of a life together and she is going to be spoilt rotten. I would like to say thank you for dusty she is everything I could ask for and more. She is amazing with my niece and nephew they cuddle her and she loves it and is so gentle with them. Me and dusty are hacking out on Saturday so more photo will follow. Thanks again.
  • Max
We bought Max on 5 May and he is absolutely gorgeous, he has amazing manners and has been such a good boy, he hacks out alone in company is good with the farrier and loves jumping. We are delighted with Max and would thoroughly recommend buying a horse from Clover Barn and when the time comes to increase our herd we will be back to Seamus. Rowena
  • Heralie (Sascha)
I thought you might like to see a current photo of Heralie (Sascha) especially because as of yesterday, she shares a sire with the European eventing champion! She couldn't be working out better for us, we love her to bits. I was wondering if you had any contact details for Sascha(?) that you got her from. I'd love to find out a bit more of her history if I can. Feel free to use this message/photo on your FB page if you'd like. Hope you've had a good summer. Take care. Kate
  • Henry
First show with Henry and he behaved impeccably . Wonderful boy xx

Hello I would like to say thanks for letting me have socks, he is the perfect horse for me and he has come on so much in the time we have had him and I love him millions... I took him to his first dressage show today and he was brilliant and we came home with 6th place.
  • Oscar
I love my Ozzie monster and clover barn have been fab! Can wait to affiliate him soon and get eventing next year.
  • Candy
I asked Clover Barn for a safe hack, calm and good in traffic, and I saw the video with Candy, cars and vans passing and no problems. Well today she outdid herself, we met a tractor with a large cattle trailer, a maize harvester with a trailer (huge) and a noisy quad - no problem Candy Superstar

  • Joker
Hi Seamus, We purchased Joker from you in August this year. Just wanted to let you know that he is getting on super! This weekend Joker was placed in both his classes at the Chiltern and Thames Dressage Championships, he's a star! I've got some pictures which I can forward to you of him at the championships if you wanted them for your testimonials page. Thanks so much for finding such a super boy for us, as yet he hasn't put a foot wrong!
  • Beetle (Dublin)
Seamus, Here is Beetle (aka Dublin). We had a great time at the opening Meet of the AVTH last Saturday. Jumped 10 fences, 3 ditches and perfectly behaved in a big field.
  • Laddy (Gypsy Lad)
Laddy is settling in very well. He's had a good effect on the other two, they are much more chilled. Had a couple of upsets in the bad weather last week - being chased by dogs and motorbikes starting up suddenly - so Iz had lost a bit of confidence, but we hired the school today and had FUN! This is me riding the lovely boy (with Iz as photographer). I was allowed to ride Laddy this morning, not least because we had a tractor flailing the hedge just beyond the school and Laddy had the face of a horse that has never seen sheep before (and of course the sheep had to come watch!!). But he quickly settled to work mode and we had fun, and then Iz got on and did some steering and stopping in the new bitless bridle.
  • Polly (Martha)
Dear Clover Barn and more specifically Seamus, following the untimely death of my beautiful mare and her foal, I contacted Clover Barn looking for another horse. Seamus was understanding of my situation and asked a number of questions to establish what it was I was looking for and needed. He welcomed me and a number of friends to Clover Barn and introduced us to 'Martha'. Martha now known as Polly has settled in well, again thanks to Seamus who at short notice brought her to her new home in Alkham. She has made many new friends both human and horsey. She is affectionate and always coming a running and neighing when we call her in - she has moments when she is a madam but we like that is shows character. She is everything and more that Seamus said she was, and matches my needs and skill level perfectly. We recently come third in a small dressage test and I hope that we can start competing a lot more in the future. I would highly recommend Clover Barn and suggest that you talk with Seamus about your needs if you are looking for a horse . Thank you Shamus from Julie, my family and of course Seamus x
  • Shadow
Shadow had a fantastic first week in his new home, he made new friends and some lessons already and a lovely hack on Wednesday around the surrounding fields. He is such a lovely chap.
  • Toby
Toby was purchased last July by Michelle who was looking for an all rounder cob. He has proved a lovely character, unflappable and very trainable. A friend of Michelle, Annette started producing Toby for dressage with the intention that Michelle could compete him. Michelle decided to hand the reins over to Annette to compete him and in just a few shows he has won nearly every class entered with percentages of over 70%. He won a championship class against 34 other horses in October and will now be competing in affiliated dressage.
